Nolvadex helps reduce or prevent male breast enlargement while you’re using steroids that cause this condition, and it works during post-cycle therapy to get your normal testosterone function back on track. Bodybuilders use Nolvadex for two main things.

Nolvadex can make more testosterone by making the pituitary gland release a hormone called luteinizing hormone. This hormone is important for making testosterone.

Nolvadex can help increase testosterone production. When used with powerful anabolic-androgenic steroids, the mild effect of Nolvadex won't override the way steroids suppress your testosterone. So, Nolvadex is not meant to be used like this during a cycle. Still, this luteinizing hormone-stimulating function is helpful when you use Nolvadex for post-cycle therapy.

Estrogen blocker?

Nolvadex blocks estrogen in certain parts of the body. It doesn't block the flow of estrogen throughout the body. Instead, it only works on the breast tissue, where it was made to fight breast cancer. Here, it targets receptors and blocks them so estrogen can’t bind to them. This is when estrogen can’t do its normal job of feeding breast cancer cells or stopping the growth or enlargement of breast tissue.

Weight gain with nolva

Women who use tamoxifen might think that the drug is causing them to gain weight, but there is no specific evidence that this can happen. This drug can be used as a cancer treatment for five or even ten years, compared to anabolic steroids users who only take Nolvadex for a few weeks.

What about muscle growth? Another question users of Nolvadex might have is whether it can actually lead to muscle gain. This assumption can come about because this drug stimulates luteinizing hormone release, which helps to build muscle.

Nolva and Gyno

I suggest taking 0.5mg of Arimidex or 10mg of Nolvadex every day. If you have any symptoms of gyno, stop the cycle and take 1mg/day of Arimidex or 2.5 mg/day of Letrozole until they go away. Use this rule during any cycle if you have symptoms of gyno. The first signs of gyno are sensitive or itchy nipples and a small lump under the nipple.

Using Nolvadex with your anabolic steroids is usually enough to prevent the formation of gyno.

Prevention is better than treatment when it comes to gyno, so it's important to take a proactive approach instead of waiting for breast growth to happen. Most men can get rid of gyno with exercise and diet.

Nolvadex can help during a cycle because it increases estrogen levels caused by steroids and decreases testosterone levels caused by aromatization. However, taking Nolvadex when your T levels are normal and you don't have increased estrogen activity won't help with your current gyno. Instead, focus on working out and waiting for your gyno to decrease naturally.

If your gyno has grown too much and won't go away after taking steroids, you may need surgery. Nolvadex or any other medicine won't help.

Nolvadex and sleep

Tamoxifen Citrate (also called Nolvadex) can cause sleep problems and night sweats, which can make it hard to sleep well.

This is a reaction that is not known to affect men who take Nolvadex as a steroid user. This is because the amount of time that the drug is being taken is similar to the amount of time that it’s used to treat breast cancer.
