Winstrol is one of the most popular steroids on the planet. This drug was made by Winthrop Laboratories in the late 1950s and has been talked about a lot in the media. Those who have never used anabolic steroids can usually name a steroid like Winstrol or Stanozolol. Winstrol is the most popular brand name for the Stanozolol hormone. This is an anabolic steroid that has been used in many athletic scandals over the years. When athletes have been caught using steroids, Winstrol has been at the center of many scandals. In fact, it is connected to the biggest steroid scandal in sports history.

In 1988, Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson tested positive for the steroid after winning gold at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Johnson beat his rival Carl Lewis easily and easily. Stanozolol would make a lot of news headlines for a long time and really start the U.S. government’s war on steroids. The Johnson scandal would have the biggest impact. When Ben Johnson killed the U.S. superstar, many people think it was the final straw for the U.S. government to make anabolic steroids a Schedule III controlled substance.

Characteristics:

Stanozolol is a DHT derivative anabolic androgenic steroid. Stanozolol is the DHT hormone that makes up the Winstrol compound. The first change is the addition of a pyrazol group at the A-ring of the hormone to replace the 3-keto group. This modification officially makes Stanozolol a heterocyclic steroid. The hormone also has a methyl group added to protect the hormone after it is given. Stanozolol is classified as a C17-alpha alkylated (C17-aa) anabolic steroid.

This changes the structure of the hormone, which makes it less androgenic and more anabolic. Officially, Winstrol has an anabolic rating of 320 and an androgenic rating of 20. More importantly, its ratings translate perfectly into real life effects, giving us a very beneficial anabolic steroid.

Winstrol is good because it can lower Sex-Hormone-Binding-Globulin (SHBG) a lot. This helps the steroids stay in their natural state and makes more free testosterone. While many anabolic steroids lower SHBG, Winstrol seems to have a stronger connection. Studies have shown that SHBG can be reduced by nearly 50% in just a few days of use and even at low doses.

Winstrol will not only reduce SHBG, but also make more protein and keep more nitrogen in the muscles. The steroid will also do a decent job of increasing red blood cell count and inhibiting glucocorticoid hormones, but not as much as some other steroids. We have some basic steroidal traits and a dramatic SHBG reduction that make us a controllable and unique compound. This is one of the easiest steroids to understand.

When looking at the direct functions and traits of Winstrol, there is one more issue we need to talk about. Stanozolol is a hormone that you can put in your body or take by mouth. Both forms of Stanozoll hormone are the same. One mg of one form is the same as one mg of the other form. Some studies suggest that oral Winstrol may reduce SHBG a little more than its injectable counterpart, while others think injectable forms may be slightly stronger overall. But overall, these differences seem small, no matter what happens. The individual should be able to get the same benefits in both forms.

Another important note about Winstrol forms is the C17-aa nature. Stanozolol is an anabolic steroid. Oral steroids are usually C17-aa, but injectable steroids are rare. Stanozolol is one of the rare exceptions. The injectable form is also known as Winstrol Depot.

Effects:

Winstrol is not a bulking steroid. You won't find this steroid in a stack for building muscle during the off-season. But it could be used to increase the activity of the other steroids being used because of the strong SHBG reduction it will provide, but this is not usually recommended. When we study the effects of Winstrol, we will find that it can harm the liver and should only be used when it's needed. For a male athlete, this won't happen during the bulking phase.

We could make an exception with female use when it comes to bulking in the off-season. Short burst plans could be helpful during this phase. But there are probably better options.

Winstrol is most beneficial for direct performance enhancement of an athletic nature. We’re talking about functional competitive athletes here, not bodybuilders or physique athletes. This steroid can increase strength and speed. It will do this without adding a lot of extra weight that could hurt some people depending on the sport or cause unwanted attention from prying eyes. Some people think that Winstrol is not good for athletes who compete, especially those who play fast sports because it can make their muscles weaker. However, this is mostly based on stories on message boards. Many studies have shown it can help strengthen tendons and bones. Otherwise, it wouldn't be used to treat osteoporosis.

Some people also have joint pain after taking Winstrol. As a steroid that does not aromatize, there will be no water retention, but the “dry feeling” may not be what many think. During the cutting phase, most people who use the steroid will be athletes or gym rats. They usually add it to a plan later in the diet once they’re already lean. Estrogenic sides:

This medicine doesn't make you gain weight or keep too much water in your body. Water retention is usually the main cause of high blood pressure due to steroids. If you make healthy lifestyle choices, your chances of getting high blood pressure are high. This assumes there are no problems underneath.

Androgenic sides:

Winstrol may cause unwanted effects on the body called androgenic side effects. But this drug may not cause a lot of androgenic effects. Acne, hair loss, and male pattern baldness are all possible. They are strongly connected to genetic predispositions. If you're not prone to male pattern hair loss, you won't lose any hair. People who are genetically sensitive to acne will be the first to have a problem with acne. Keeping your skin clean and dry all the time will help you stay safe.

Many people use 5-alpha reductase inhibitors like Finasteride to fight the side effects of any anabolic steroid. But this won't work with all steroids or Winstrol at any point. These medicines stop testosterone from turning into DHT. This happens when the 5-alpha reductase enzyme breaks down testosterone. The 5-alpha reductase enzyme doesn’t metabolize Stanozolol hormone; it’s already DHT.

Winstrol can make women virilized and have androgenic side effects. Virilization symptoms include body hair growth, a deepening of the vocal chords, and a larger clitoral area. Many women can take Stanozolol hormone without feeling sick, but they need to use a small amount. If the dose is kept low, many women will not get virilized. But each person's response is important. If for any reason virilization symptoms start to show, if use is stopped at the onset, they will go away quickly. If the symptoms are ignored and the use continues, the symptoms may very well become permanent.

Cardiovascular sides:

The most likely side effects of Winstrol are those that affect the cardiovascular system, especially cholesterol. The hormone called Stanozolol can lower good cholesterol (HDL) and increase bad cholesterol (LDL)

Oral C17-aa anabolic steroids are all known to have a stronger negative effect on cholesterol management. Oral Winstrol is no different. Winstrol Depot can have the same effect as it is a C17-aa anabolic steroid. The issue of cholesterol will be a concern with any form of Winstrol.

Even though Winstrol can be very hard on cholesterol, you can still take it without much effort, but it will take some work. If you already have high cholesterol, don't use this medicine. If you are healthy enough to use it, keep an eye on your cholesterol. To keep your body healthy, eat lots of omega fatty acid-rich food. Fish oils should be taken daily and saturated fats and simple sugars should be limited. You may also want to consider a cholesterol antioxidant formula and always make sure to do plenty of cardiovascular training in your routine.

Testosterone related sides:

Winstrol blocks natural testosterone production. It will not completely stop production but it will put the individual in a low testosterone state if exogenous testosterone is not given. All men who supplement with Stanozolol hormone can easily avoid a low testosterone condition if they also supplement with some form of exogenous testosterone. Women don't need testosterone injections from outside sources.

When steroid use is stopped, natural testosterone production will start again. But it might take a while for your levels to get back to normal. Most men are encouraged to implement a Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) plan after using anabolic steroids. A PCT plan will help your levels go up faster than they would otherwise. There is no PCT plan that can do this on its own. But it will make sure you have enough testosterone for proper body function while your levels continue to naturally rise.

Important notes about natural testosterone recovery. Natural recovery assumes that no previous low testosterone condition existed. It also assumes that the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Testicular-Axis (HPTA) was not severely damaged because of improper supplementation practices.

Liver sides:

Winstrol is a hepatotoxic anabolic steroid. But how much stress a C17-aa steroid can cause the liver will depend on the C17-aa steroid in question. Winstrol hurts the liver more than Anavar (Oxandrolone), but it's less harmful than steroids like Dianabol (Methandrostenolone)

This steroid will increase liver enzyme values. Low doses don't seem to make a lot of strain, but keep in mind that as the dose goes up, more strain is created. Remember that having too much enzyme doesn't mean something bad is happening, it just means you're stressed. But damage can happen and we need to take the right steps to prevent it. If your liver isn't healthy, you shouldn't take this steroid.

If you are healthy enough to use, total use should be limited to 6-8 weeks and no other C17-aa steroids should be used for at least 6-8 weeks after stopping use. It would be better to wait longer between using something. When you use alcohol, it's important to not drink too much. Drinking too much alcohol can be stressful for the liver. When you add a C17-aa steroid, it makes stress even worse. Many people think it's best to avoid drinking alcohol because it can make our body work less well. It's best to avoid taking prescription drugs instead of alcohol. Many over-the-counter medications are very hard on the liver. Some steroids are more hepatotoxic than many other anabolic steroids. Use of over the counter medications should be limited to when absolutely necessary. It's a good idea to take a supplement that helps your liver detoxify when you use Winstrol or any other C17-aa steroid. If you follow these rules, enzyme values will go up, but if there is no underlying issue, values should go back to normal soon after use is stopped and no damage will be done.

Winstrol is hepatotoxic, both oral and injectable. If you want to avoid all C17-aa steroids, you should avoid them, whether they are oral or injectable.

Dose:

In a medical setting, men usually take 2mg of Winstrol by mouth three times a day. Females usually take 4mg or two 2mg doses every day. If they don't get sick, they may take 6mg every day. When Winstrol is prescribed, it is usually given at a dose of 50mg every 2-3 weeks for both male and female patients.
 

In sports, men usually use 25-50mg of Winstrol. A daily dose of 25mg of oral Winstrol or 50mg of injectable Winstrol is very common. Such doses are enough to give good results in any man and should be easy to control in terms of side effects. Some people take 100mg per day of either form. These high doses are not recommended outside of competition bodybuilding circles. You don't need them. But if you do a 7-10 day run at a very high level before the show, it can make some nice finishing touches. But high end doses should for no reason last more than 7-10 days. The amount of time used should be between 6 and 8 weeks.

Female athletes usually use oral Winstrol because they will be taking small amounts. Some women may be able to tolerate 10mg per day. You should not try to take 10mg per day unless you have used 5mg in another cycle. Even then, most people will find that 5mg per day is enough. If injectable Winstrol is used, 20mg every 4 days is plenty, but oral forms are the way to go in this case. It will just be more controllable. The amount of time you use should be between 4-6 weeks.
