Proviron is one of the oldest anabolic steroids on the market. Schering was a big pharmaceutical company that first came out in 1934. Proviron has been the most popular brand name for Mesterolone over the years. One of the most misunderstood anabolic steroids among people who use steroids.

Proviron is a very unique anabolic steroids. It looks a lot like Masteron and Anavar, but it's also unique. Proviron is not used to build up large builds in mass, but it can serve an important purpose during this phase of training. Proviron will be more common in cutting cycles, but its purpose will be different.

Proviron is one of the most commonly used steroids in modern medicine. The Mesterolone hormone has never been approved by the U.S FDA. It will mostly be found in European medicine. The main reason people use it is to treat androgen deficiencies. Age is the most common cause of this condition. It is also used by men who are not yet men. The hormone helps men have more babies, which makes it different from other steroids because most steroids have the opposite effect.

Characteristics:

Mesterolone is an anabolic androgenic steroid. This is a different type of hormone called DHT with a methyl group at the beginning. This protects the hormone from hepatic breakdown when it is taken orally. This is one of the few oral steroids that doesn't have a chemical group called C17-alpha alkylated (C17-aa), but instead has a methyl group added. Oral Primobolan is another well-known steroid that has the same methyl group. Proviron will be much less bioavailable than most C17-aa oral steroids. As we will see, it has fallen out of popularity among many performance enhancing athletes.

Proviron has a strength rating of 30-40 and a strength rating of 100-150. All ratings are based on testosterone, which has a score of 100 in both categories. Even though Proviron has a higher anabolic rating than testosterone, it will have very low anabolic traits. This is similar to Halotestin (Fluoxymesterone), which has a big anabolic rating but very little translatable anabolic activity. In the case of Proviron, the Mesterolone hormone is very anabolic, but it turns into Diol metabolites, which reduces anabolic activity. But Provirons androgenic rating is a different story. In fact, its translatable androgenic activity seems to be higher than its structural rating would suggest.

Proviron has four main characteristics that define its mode of action. The Mesterolone hormone binds strongly to Sex-Hormone-Binding-Globulin (SHBG) This seems to be one of the strongest anabolic steroids in this regard. By binding to SHBG, a hormone partially responsible for reducing free testosterone, binding SHBG will increase the amount of free testosterone in the blood. It will make a larger percentage of the anabolic steroids used free instead of bound. The anabolic steroids you're taking make you stronger and more powerful.

Proviron can also interact with the aromatase enzyme, which turns testosterone into estrogen. Proviron helps prevent estrogen side effects by binding to the aromatase enzyme. It will not have an anti-estrogenic effect like an Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) but it will be noticeable. Depending on the type of cycle you have, Proviron can help you with all your anti-estrogen needs.

Mesterolone hormone will also have a strong binding affinity to the androgen receptor. Again, this will make other steroids work better, but more important, it will make metabolism work harder through direct lipolysis. Then we have one more problem with Proviron as a fertility medicine. This is an anabolic steroid that does not block gonadotropins like other anabolic steroids. This will increase sperm production as androgens are needed for spermatogenesis stimulation. This makes more sperm and also makes it better. Before we continue, Proviron can reduce gonadotropins, but it can also affect sperm production. This will make sense when we read about the effects.

Effects:

Proviron is not going to be a foundational steroid during a bulking phase, and for most men it will not have a place in an off-season cycle. There are some exceptions and we’ll go over those here. Adding Proviron could help the person solve a problem during their cycle. At some point in all cycles, progress begins to slow down or stop completely. Proviron makes the other steroids in a stack more free, which might help someone overcome this problem. In the off-season, most people use the most testosterone. Many will use large amounts of testosterone during cutting cycles too, especially competitive bodybuilders, but lower testosterone plans are more common during the cutting phase. But some people choose to run off-season cycles with limited testosterone doses. In such plans, including Proviron could give them a little androgen boost. It might not always be needed, but it could be helpful.

Proviron will work best during the cutting phase. This steroid has a hardening effect similar to Masteron, but it will also make other steroids harder. Then we consider its strong binding to the androgen receptor, which will actually help the individual to burn body fat much more efficiently. We need to think about how Proviron works against estrogen. This will make the person less likely to retain water and, as we've talked about, it could eliminate the need for a traditional anti-estrogen. Then we have to increase the amount of free testosterone that circulates. This can be a big help because testosterone levels are often lower during this phase of anabolic steroids use. If you take Proviron with other anabolic steroids, you will get better results than if you don't. In the end, the primary base benefit is the increased androgenicity of other steroids being used to promote a much harder and more defined physique. It's important to know that Proviron can definitely give you these qualities, but it won't be noticeable unless you're very thin.

Side Effects:

Proviron may cause side effects, but this steroid has one of the highest safety ratings of all anabolic steroids. Most men can use this drug without any problems, but it might cause some side effects, even though it's unlikely. This steroid can't be used in a therapeutic or performance capacity. Females who want to protect their femininity should avoid virilization. To help you understand the possible side effects of Proviron, we've broken them up into separate categories.

Estrogenic sides:

The hormone Mesterolone is not estrogenic. It doesn't smell and doesn't have any hormones. Proviron won't cause any side effects like gynecomastia or excess water retention. This steroid doesn't cause such negative effects. This will also reduce the risk of high blood pressure as high blood pressure is often caused by water retention. Proviron should prevent testosterone to estrogen conversion or at least greatly slow it down.

Androgenic sides:

Proviron can cause unwanted changes in the body called androgenic effects. This is not surprising because androgenic action is the main purpose of this steroid. Proviron can cause acne, hair loss, and body hair growth. These effects are strongly dependent on genetic predispositions. For instance, people who are not prone to male pattern baldness won't lose any hair. Those who don't get acne shouldn't have any problems with breakouts. The 5-alpha reductase enzyme doesn't break down the Mesterolone hormone. The steroid is already DHT, so 5-alpha reductase inhibitors like Finasteride won't make it androgenic.

Because Proviron is potent androgenic, it will lead to severe virilization in women. This can and will most likely include body hair growth, a deepening of the vocal chords and clitoral enlargement. Women should not use this type of medicine that makes muscles grow. There are some steroids that are less harmful than others, like Anavar or Primobolan. Women should never use these drugs.

Cardiovascular sides

Cardiovascular strain, especially cholesterol issues, will be the most concerning side effect of Proviron. This type of medicine can make cholesterol worse faster than other medicines. If you have high cholesterol, you shouldn't take this steroid. If you are healthy, you will need to keep an eye on your levels.

The Mesterolone hormone can greatly affect HDL and LDL cholesterol. Studies show that this steroid can reduce HDL cholesterol by more than 30% and increase LDL cholesterol by more than 60% You can use Proviron without worrying about bad cholesterol, but it will require some work. A very cholesterol-friendly diet is essential. This should have lots of omega fatty acids. You should also take a lot of fish oil every day. The diet should also be low in saturated fats and simple sugars. When using Proviron, a cholesterol antioxidant is also recommended. Some people might find it bothersome, but you should also do a lot of cardio exercise in your routine. If you want to use this drug, it's important to follow these instructions. If you can’t, then you shouldn’t use this anabolic steroid.

Testosterone related sides:

Anabolic androgenic steroids affect natural testosterone in some way. The rate of suppression varies a lot between steroids and Proviron. Studies have shown that you can use Mesterolone hormone without affecting natural testosterone production. This doesn’t mean it’s not suppressed at all, it just means it’s minimal and doesn’t matter much. A total dose of 150mg per day or less should not have a noticeable effect on natural testosterone production. As the dose goes up, the rate of suppression will increase. But there is no real benefit in increasing the dose above 150mg per day for any man.

This anabolic steroid can be used without extra testosterone, or at least with very little. An individual could take a cycle of Anavar and Proviron to keep his testosterone levels high. But most will be using other anabolic steroids that are highly suppressive to natural testosterone production along with Proviron, making the use of exogenous testosterone imperative. Those who do not add it will put their body into a low testosterone state. Such a state can come with many bothersome symptoms and is very unhealthy.

After stopping using anabolic steroids, natural testosterone production will begin again. Most people are told to make a Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) plan at this point. A PCT plan will speed up the recovery process, but it won't make you go back to normal. It will take time to recover completely, but it will take much longer without a PCT plan. With a PCT plan, you can make sure you have enough testosterone to work well and your levels will keep getting higher over time. Natural recovery assumes that there is no low testosterone condition before. It assumes that using anabolic steroids correctly did not harm the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Testicular-Axis (HPTA)

Dose:

Proviron doses to treat androgen or male fertility will usually be between 50-75 mg per day. The total dose is usually divided into 2-3 25mg doses per day. In androgen deficiency plans, the total dose starts at 75mg per day and slowly decreases to 25-50mg per day.

Proviron doses usually range from 50-150mg per day in a performance capacity. Most men will find that 100mg per day is the minimum beneficial dose, with both 100mg and 150mg being highly effective. You can use it for 8-12 weeks. But a 6 week course of Proviron may help you break a sticking point in a cycle.

You'll find that Proviron works well with all anabolic steroids. During the cutting phase it will be most helpful in combination with steroids like Anavar, Masteron and Winstrol as well as Primobolan. It will make these steroids more androgenic, giving you a hard-looking appearance. In a bulking phase, it's hard to say if you'll need it. Some will just keep it on hand and add it when it might be helpful.
